Abstract

E-Governance is the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at all the level of the Government in order to provide services to the citizens, interaction with business enterprises and communication and exchange of information between different agencies of the Government in a speedy, convenient efficient and transparent manner. E-governance is to enhance the interaction between three main actors in society- Government, citizens, and business thereby to promote political, social, and economic progress in the country. The present study finds the theoretical assumptions about e governance by studying the various projects initiated by the government under e- governance and bharat nirman.
